Finding Good Foods

Finding good healthy food for the children or what are referred to as functional foods is a daily challenge. Everything we choose to put into our children’s mouths should serve a healthy purpose. Functional food choices should be a part of the daily diet. Functional foods such as those listed below contain chemicals produced only by plants. The chemicals are known as antioxidants. Antioxidants help reduce the risk of heart disease and cancers, even in the youngest of bodies. Research indicates that the earlier a care giver starts introducing these foods to the taste buds of young children the better the outcome.
